Do the stars influence the kind of
homes we live in? Do the Zodiac signs effect the way we decorate, the type
of furniture we buy or our domestic tastes and lifestyles? What birth sign
are you?
Here is an astrological guide to show how the stars could shape your home
and tastes |
|
|
|
|
|
Aries |
| Arians hate to throw
anything away - this is often reflected in the cluttered homes with
bulging wardrobes. They love to shop and will buy large amounts of goods
for their homes - often from garage sales, car boots sales, and
second-hand shops. Some spend a fortune on gadgets, equipping themselves
with food processors, personal stereos, juicers and every type of new
gismo, which comes on the market. They love gardening and growing indoor
plants and are very practical when it comes to DIY. |
|
Taurus |
| Very creative
home-makers-this is reflected in the style and visual sense in their
homes. Often guided amateur builders and gardeners, They are not keen on
second-hand goods, except those passed down from families. Homes tend to
feature modern furniture. They enjoy collecting valuable possessions and
make sure they have a good sound-system in their homes. |
|
Gemini |
| Geminian homes are
kept nicely, but not usually by them. They prefer to employ someone else
to clean up, and, if this is not possible will either do what they have to
or ignore the whole business altogether. As far as decor and furniture is
concerned, they will buy the best they can afford and then live with it
for years afterwards. |
|
Cancer |
| Cancerians are very
attached to their homes. They love to travel and may choose to work in a
job which allows them to do so, they also need a base, a place of their
own - preferably with the mortgage completely paid up. They enjoy
speculating on property and many own more than one place - they hate
paying rent. They enjoy collecting and their homes may be full of antiques
or other collectibles. |
|
Leo |
| Leos like a spacious
and attractive home. They may not keep their homes in the latest style
because, like Cancerians, they develop sentimental attachments to their
belongings and surroundings. For much the same reason, they prefer to buy
a house and stay in it for years, even when their families have moved out
and they're left with more space than they need. The typical Leo home is
well proportioned and comfortable but not necessarily filled with the
latest goods and gadgets. They don't set out to impress their neighbours
with their wealth or their possessions and are not particularly
materialistic. |
|
Virgo |
| Virgos are fairly
careful types who don't like spending money unnecessarily. They are quite
fussy, however, and don't care to live in dirty, cramped or run-down
circumstances. Naturals at DIY, they are good at repairing and renovating.
They are not ostentatious but are interested in quality things in their
homes. They also love a garden to work in, being an earth sign. Many
Virgos work from home, so their houses often have a study or room where
they can think. Very acquisitive and knowledgeable, Virgos' homes are
likely to be filled with books and magazines, TV's and computers. They can
be untidy and don't like personal things to be disturbed. |
|
Libra |
| Librans generally
like a neat and tidy environment. Very creative, they sometimes express
themselves through some highly imaginative DIY work around the house,
while others create beautiful gardens. Librans tend to live very well
indeed or in squalid circumstances. The good-livers prefer a spacious
apartment in a nice part of town or a lovely cottage surrounded by land.
Their homes are equipped with good quality furniture and beautiful
kitchens. They are noted for their taste, colour sense and ability to
create a harmonious, peaceful environment. Squalid Librans will live in
any old place if it's cheap. |
|
Scorpio |
|
Scorpios have a
sentimental attachment to their homes, possessions and the past,
preferring old favourites to new-fangled gadgets. They hoard, often
hanging onto completely useless items and recycling their own junk. Being
food lovers, they tend to spend more on eating and drinking than on their
homes and thus homes can be scruffy. Possessions mean little to them,
although they like books and music. |
|
Sagittarius |
| The Sagittarius
home-buyer likes a good secure home, with many gadgets around the home.
The Sagittarius likes a high quality security system, which protects all
aspects of the home. Sagittarius also likes lavishing money on his new
house, with artwork and sculptures which gives a home a bit of finesse.
Keeping the home nice & tidy is imperative to the Sagittarius, as they
are very house pride. If they like a new idea on the house then they are
likely experiment. |
|
Capricorn |
| Capricorns like to
invest in bricks and mortar and won't allow a property to fall into
disrepair. A Capricorn home is comfortable and well maintained with as
much surrounding land as the owner can afford. Capricorn is an earth sign,
therefore they like to have some space to grow their own vegetables and
plants. They aren't interested in status symbols but do like good quality
possessions-as long as they are value for money. Capricorns don't spend
much time at home, mainly because their work and many interests keep them
on the go all the time, but they like something to come back to. |
|
Aquarius |
| Aquarians are so
different from each other that it is difficult to generalise. Some for
example, live in amazingly clean ultra-modern apartments while others live
in rambling old houses, filled with children, animals and lodgers. Many
Aquarians work close to home and others have offices or even schools
within their homes. All Aquarians seem to collect books and bits of paper,
some collect antiques, junk or animals, other weird and wonderful
possessions. |
|
Pisces |
| Pisceans tend to
have spiritual rather than material values, but still like somewhere nice
to live, preferably with a garden - both for security and also as a place
to which they can retreat. A Pisces home can be anything from a squat to a
palace. After drifting for a while they do try and find a place of their
own, even if they are not always there. This is partly because they are
not adaptable enough to live in someone else's space for long, and they
see property as a form of security. |
