The right light
The right light will help you wind down and get a good nights sleep - but
you also need strong lighting so you can get dressed in the morning and
don't leave the house wearing one brown shoe and one blue.
Bedside Lamps
Perhaps the most important aspect of a bedroom is the light beside your
bed. When one of you wants to read or watch TV, the other wants to sleep
and vice versa.
Main central light
Fit a dimmer switch on the main central light or wall light - it creates
instant atmosphere. Have a switch by the door for when you come in and out but also make it
controllable from the bed otherwise you'll have to get out of bed to turn
it off
Colours for your lights
Choose shades with a white inside and a warm colour outside fitted with a
clear bulb to give off warm tones of light.
Dressing table lights
Dressing tables need to be horizontally lit from both sides - otherwise you'll have
shadows across your face
Fairy lights
Fit fairy lights and Install
a voice activated light switch - so you'll never have to get out of bed |
