The Costa de Almeria stretches 170 miles along Spain's east coast from Valencia in the north, to La Manga in the south.

It’s most famous resort is Benidorm on the Costa del Sol, which has a been a family favourite for many years. The countryside at the north end of the Costa is mountainous and rocky.

The area is serviced by Alicante airport. Just south of the airport lies the resort of Torrevieja with its sandy beach and several golf courses.

Close to Cartegena is the well known sports and golf complex of La Manga.

The Costa de Almeria is one of those resorts where everyone can find their place in the sun, from lively towns to sleepy villages.
