The Costa Calida rims the region of Murcia located between Costa Almeria and Costa Blanca.

The region enjoys good temperatures, hot in summer and mild winters and has fine sandy beaches and a salt water lagoon called Mar Menor.

The area is renowned for its fruit growing, particularly citrus fruits and has many orchards, olive groves and vineyards.

Murcia has a history dating back to Roman times. Cartagena, with it's wealth of archaeological treasures including a recently discovered Roman theatre is well worth a visit.
